Borderlands 3 features a Lord of the Rings Easter Egg & unique weapon

3.7
Borderlands 3 players and Lord of the Rings fans will find something fun when playing around in the game.

Look, I’m not going to spoil things for you. Instead, just watch the Borderlands 3 video from Arekkz.

I will say though, that it involves a Borderlands 3 version of the Balrog and Khazad-dum – or Moria if you will. There’s a bit more than that though, if you look closely enough while wandering around Konrad’s Hold.

The sidequest you’re looking for is found in the northeastern corner of Konrad’s Hold on Pandora. You have to interact with the broken robot head, pull a lever to open the mine and make your way inside.

The level 44 quest you are on in this instance, The Demon in the Dark, also rewards a unique weapon at the end: the Burning Chomper shotgun.

It basically shoots out whip-like beams similar to the massive fire whip the Balrog used in The Fellowship of the Ring film.

This isn’t the only Easter Egg Arekkz has come across. Here’s one for One Punch Man, and a Legendary Shotgun based on Rick and Morty.

If you’re just picking Borderlands 3 up, here’s a guide character on the best builds.

Borderlands 3 is out today on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

I love easter eggs they add more enjoyment into a game especially if you know what the easter egg is from makes the experience so much more enjoyable

I have always thought it was neat how game developers hide little Easter Eggs in their game for the fan base to have fun with. Insane how some of them don't get discovered for years!
