Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Confirms Big Gameplay Adjustment

4.1
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's Alpha is currently going on, which means the PS4, Xbox One, and PC shooter is getting one of its first proper tests. And as you would expect, there's issues with the game, most of which are small and that can be easily remedied though. Further, thanks to fan feedback, developer Infinity Ward is well aware of many of the issues players are reporting. For example, Infinity Ward has confirmed that it has been getting a metric ton of feedback on footstep audio in the game, with many players noticing that player footsteps are far too loud while enemy footsteps are too quiet. In other words, not only is it hard to hear other players, but if you're moving it's even harder because your guy runs like the Hulk.

That said, changes are being made to this aspect of the game. In fact, the adjustment will be made in time for the game's beta so that players can see the improvement before launch. The news comes way of Infinity Ward's Ashton Williams, who confirmed as much via Twitter.

Meanwhile, another big issue of the Alpha has been big babies leaving Gunfight matches early. That said, Infinity Ward is also aware of this problem. However, at the moment, it has nothing to announce on this front, but it has heard player feedback and is looking into adding penalties for players leaving Gunfight matches early.

Of course, there's been other changes and fixes. For example, the jump fatigue bug is being fixed. That said, nothing more prominent than the above two problems.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC when it launches later this year on October 25. At the moment of publishing, there's been no word of any additional ports.

CoD has done it to themselves. Routinely releasing games that are half ass and people don't want to play after two weeks. Sorry we get excited over news that give us hope we might finally get a game as good as one we enjoyed as kids.

Oh, and that is never gonna happen.

really hope this game will live up to all the hype its getting.

-Myth_ There are issues with every game can't please everyone

It's the alpha tho so Idk what people expected and it's only the 2v2 mode as well. They should just have cooldowns if people want to abandon matches.

Is anyone else sick of call of duty players bitching and complaining about everything?

"We want a realistic shooter"!!

-"No not that realistic"

Hearing teammates foot steps over enemies? Well yeah, because your teammates are most likely closer than the enemies. I saw in another article someone was complaining about not being able to hear foot steps over gun fire?!? Yeah no shit?

People want a hyper realistic shooter then complain when they die in one shot..

Big babies leaving gun fights early? Literally every game of all time has this problem and it will never be solved. You cannot fix this no matter what happens. Literally the only possible solution it so pause the game for everyone until another player can be matched up. But then people would complain about that too. You can't please everyone.. I've come to the conclusion that call of duty player are the biggest group of rage quitting try hards there is. But, it's just a game.. you can't get too mad.

uphroahia I haven't touched the game yet but I have it downloaded, I've seen a friend say the game was awful so I have mix feelings about it as a whole. Glad to see they are updating the beta also!
well it's over now so you can try beta in late September

Well, it's not technically over completely. Xbox and PC still haven't gotten the chance to play. After theirs end, then it's officially over

its over so no the xbox fan boys and pc fan boys wont be able to play it as its part of the deal they had, their only doing it once, sadly the beta will be ps4 first again just like the alpha then the beta starts for pc and xbox a week after and ps4 gets to play for a 3rd week well us pc and xbox players get only one week to feel the game.

please link to the place you read that said theres going to be an open alpha for pc and xbox players because everywhere i looked including iw twitter actic*nts twitter and youtube nothing says so.

games not bad the two v two mode is a bit under whelming but the game is alot of fun much better then bf5 for sure and its alot better then siege which was a 180 dumpster trash of a game, its no where near rainbow six patriots though but its damn close to both siege and bf3 which is great change, which thats what the community of cod wants right, the answer is no the cod community doesnt know what they want, this is a good game gameplay wise the 2v2 mode is just a taste, i always hated the faceoff mode in crap warfare 3(which legit hurts my eyes with how bright it is at any brightness setting) so your buddy must suck at the game or something because only losers claim a game is bad when they cant understand it
