Battlemode is the 2v1 multiplayer mode in Doom Eternal, and this overview video gives you the complete rundown.

Battlemode in Doom Eternal pits two player-controlled demons against a single player-controlled Slayer to see who comes out on top. It sounds rather interesting. Who wouldn’t want to play a demon, right?

There will be six arenas to choose from, and five different playable demons. More maps and demons will be added in the future, and all will be free to players.

The game releases November 22 for PC, Xbox One, Switch and PS4.

And if you’re curious as to how the game plays, well, it’s basically Doom 2016 cranked up to 11. Nice.

Battlemode looks so freaking badass. I may be actually excited for a game at launch for once in the last 5-7 years. This looks really fun, strategic FPS games with slow TTK in my opinion are best. Looks like you could have fun playing as Slayer solo, or join a match with a friend as demons. Hopefully, 3 friends can play at the same time in 2v1. I hope and pray there is a solid, true skill ranking system.
