Modern Warfare 3: First UK Public Hands-On Details

4.5
GAME has told CVG that Birmingham event GAMEfest 2011 will offer fans "the first UK hands-on preview" of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in September. GAMEfest will run from the 16-18 September 2011 at the Birmingham NEC, with the retail chain promising that attendees will be able to "play the most anticipated titles of the year before anyone else". Tickets cost £10 for anyone aged 12 or over and £5 for anyone under 12-years-old. They can be purchased from www.game.co.uk/gamefest. To buy tickets, would-be attendees must own a GAME reward card, which can be grabbed via game.co.uk or any GAME store.

Anna-Marie Mason, marketing director at GAME said: "We are delighted that GAMEfest attendees can be the first consumers in the UK to have the opportunity to get hands-on with Modern Warfare 3 before it releases to the world. We know that our customers love to be first to play and with this year's sneak peek of the newest instalment of Call of Duty, GAMEfest once again proves it is absolutely the place to be."

epraider American's get it at CoD XP, European's get it there, 2 weeks later.

Americans have to pay $150+.

The UK gets it for 10, which if i'm correct is about $14.23

That's ghey.

The XP thing in la are giving away $1,000,000 in a tournament plus some individuals get the game a month or two early. The uk one is only to TRY it out early.

Unhinged can't believe they already finished MW3 and they're not releasing it for another 3 months.

Every game is like that. They do these events to get feedback about new features, etc.. while looking for bugs and glitches.

Companies take months riddling as many bugs out of the game that they can.

The game may be finished but its probably not 'golden' yet.
To bad the game will never be "golden"... i mean i dont know about you but i have never see a cod in its "golden" stage first day of release there ALWAYS something :) So yea i think they should not make us wait 3 months
