Geoff Keighley Announces Lineup for Gamescom Opening Night Live

Here's who you can expect to hear from on August 19.

With Gamescom right around the corner, Geoff Keighley has announced the lineup for Gamescom: Opening Night Live.

Among those making an appearance at the show are Activision, Capcom, EA, Google Stadia, Private Division, Square-Enix, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Xbox Game Studios. Additionally, several indie game studios will be making announcements, too.

Hideo Kojima will also make an appearance during the live event to show off Death Stranding which is launching on PlayStation 4 on November 8.

“I’m so excited to bring the gaming industry together for this unique night that will celebrate many of the biggest games at gamescom that are coming out later this year and in 2020 and beyond,” said Keighley in a press release. “Fans watching the stream around the world should expect an overview of what to expect during gamescom week, updates and reveals on some of the most anticipated games coming in the months ahead, as well as announcements of new projects too.”

This news also comes way as Sega will be announcing a new AAA game during Gamescom and a new Stadia Connect presentation is set to premiere on August 19. Additionally, Bandai Namco’s Elden Ring will reportedly make an appearence at the show, too. With so many annoncements coming out of this years Gamescom, it won’t be surprising if last year’s attendee record of 370,000 will be broken.

Gamescom, the world’s largest gaming convention, hits Cologne, Germany from August 20-24. Geoff Keighley’s Gamescom: Opening Night Live Live premieres on August 19.
