No Man’s Sky Beyond Releases in Two Weeks

The latest update for Hello Games' No Man's Sky will be arriving on August 14.

After laying low for the past few months, Hello Games has finally reemerged and has revealed when the latest content for No Man’s Sky will finally be arriving.

Divulged today in a new trailer, No Man’s Sky Beyond, the next major update to the ongoing space-traveling title, will be arriving in just a few short days on August 14. Beyond is said to contain three updates all rolled into one single package and will be one of the biggest post-launch additions that No Man’s Sky has received so far. Per usual, if you already own No Man’s Sky, Beyond will also be entirely free.

No Man’s Sky Beyond will at long last introduce a VR mode to the game, which is something many fans have been asking about for quite some time. “Anything possible in No Man’s Sky, NEXT or any other update will soon be ready and waiting as an immersive and enriched VR experience,” said Hello Games about what to expect from this new VR element.

In addition, Beyond will be adding a hefty multiplayer component to the game, which fans have also been begging for ever since No Man’s Sky was essentially first revealed. Hello Games says that Beyond will be, “An expanded Online experience will bring a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together.” We’ll have to wait until August 14 just to see how it all works out, but it sounds promising and like what fans have wanted this experience to be from the beginning.

You can check out the brief teaser trailer for Beyond down below if you’re looking to get hyped before its release. No Man’s Sky is currently out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

I didn't start playing until the NEXT update. I really enjoyed it. I think this game is great for VR. I think exploration games work really well with it. A little too late though. I don't feel like many people will play it.
