Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Load Times on Switch Have Been Cut

3.6
The load times for Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled on the Switch have been reduced thanks to a boost mode update.

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a fantastic kart racer that has done incredibly well critically. However, one big drawback for the game on the Nintendo Switch was the long load times you would have to experience. Beenox, the developers behind the game, had promised an update would be delivered to help with the long downtime. Well, thanks to a boost mode update on the Switch version of the game, those loading time have been cut by 10-15 seconds.

The 1.0.5 update can be downloaded right now. Before it, to load into a race it would take around 40 or so seconds to finally load into it. After the update, the load time was reduced to around 26-27 seconds. It still might be a little long. But at least you won’t be waiting almost an entire minute to pop into a race.

This wouldn’t be the first time that a boost mode update has increased load times for a Switch game. When The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey received an update so that they could support Labo VR, both of the game’s loading times were shortened as well thanks to the CPU being overclocked to run at a higher speed.

Makes me angry this does.

A free game that is 1000% more enjoyable than many paid popular titles, gets blamed for causing a decrease in sales.

All they seem to care about now is money. Years ago there was passion and drive for new games, which in turn made profit with them. Now it seems to be the case, of using a major title such as fifa, call of duty, etc to just make money.

Well guess what, people are starting to realise this and not buy the ****. If fornite was a paid game, I'm pretty sure it would still be doing fairly well as long as it had some promoting.

Call of duty this year will decide for me whether there is any passion left or if major titles are just money grabs now
