A Fix to a Save Corrupting PS4 Bug in Crash Team Racing is On the Way

4.5
A fix for a save-corrupting bug in Crash Team Racing's PS4 version is being worked on and a patch will arrive on July 3.

Crash Team Racing was just released a week or to ago and fans seem to be loving it. However, there has been a save-corrupting bug in the PS4 version that has caused players to lose their save files. But, Activision has stated that a fix is on the way.

In a blog post, the video game giant stated that the PS4 bug will be getting patched on July 3 and players should stay away from the time trials in the meantime. Activision said that the bug occurs when the size of a players’ race ghost data gets too large.

Beenox, the developers behind Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled is aware of the issue and are working on the patch. As a sort of “we’re sorry,” if anyone completes a race while connected online from right now until July 4, they will receive 2,500 Wumpa coins which can be used toward customization items.

The patch that is coming on July 3 will coincide with the launch of Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled’s very first Grand Prix event. Through this event, players will be able to earn cosmetic items and a brand new playable character by playing special races.

Losing save files is never fun and come with a big headache as well. It is better to be safe than sorry and stay clear of the time trails until the bug has been patched out.

With this being an older game already, I'm surprised they're working on fixes so late in the game. Especially taking this long for a serious problem
