Cyberpunk 2077 Will Require More Than 80 GB of Storage Space

3.9
We all could have guessed that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be an absolute massive game- but massive doesn’t even begin to describe it. When it launches in April of next year, be prepared to clear out a whole lot of space in your system’s storage.

Over on the official PlayStation Store page of the game, its details mention that it’ll be 80 GB “minimum”. That, of course, suggests that the file size is subject to change, which makes sense, since there’s still a whole lot of time left between now and its launch. But the “minimum” bit also suggests that even if it does change, the number will only go up, not down. It makes sense that CDPR aren’t considering a Switch port then, doesn’t it?

Then again, in today’s day and age, when often we see patches coming out with download sizes more than entire games (remember Fallout 76?), an 80 GB file size for a massive open world RPG seems par for the course.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out on April 16 next year for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We’ve learnt a great deal about the game of late, including new details on whether it has more romance options that The Witcher 3 (it does), whether it has a morality system (it doesn’t), whether it has multiple endings (it does), whether it will have a New Game + option (it probably will), and a lot more. Stay tuned for all the latest updates.

its so stupid that games are now uncompressed, like alot of people only have 250gig ssds for whatever reason when that space is too small in nowadays since games are over 80gigs. but considering how big this game is compared to rd3's 100+gig when the game wasnt that big. id gladly take 85 90gigs on a good game over 100+ gigs on a crappy game plus if youre like me and buy console games as well as pc games well if you have launch day consoles well youll need to delete 3games sadly which sucks

Not surprising, alot of triple A titles require 50+ GB of space

XboxPosted:

Damn that's fairly big but could be bigger besides most of the games now these days are around that GB

Games now a days take up that space, so not too surprising but I gotta make room once it comes out lol.

Seems just about normal

For a decent game that's not a bad amount of storage as any good game would be about that size.
