EA Play Livestreams Taking Place on June 8th Only

3.6
EA Play, Electronic Arts’ dedicated pre-E3 event for press and fans, has suffered some reductions this year. There won’t be a press conference with the publisher instead focusing on livestreams throughout the weekend. However, don’t expect both days to be devoted to these streams.

In a recent announcement, EA confirmed that it would pool all of its livestreams into June 8th. This means that “fans will have a full slate of streams that will take you inside the games and new content, all on one day.” Interestingly, EA Play was meant to start on June 7th and end on June 9th but it seems, “The previously planned Friday event will now kickoff our Saturday activities.”

There’s likely going to be a lot to see. Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will have its first gameplay reveal. The next Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies are expected to be announced (both are due for release later this year). Live service games like Battlefield 5, Apex Legends and Anthem are expected to have some kind of announcements. And don’t forget about EA Originals, particularly titles like Sea of Solitude from Jo-Mei Games.
