Bowling explains Rave and Sledgehammers involvement with Modern Warfare 3

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has said Raven Software’s part in the Call of Duty franchise was to help Treyarch with DLC as well as “random user interface and engineering tasks,” and it will be helping IW out with Modern Warfare 3 “in the same capacity”.

“The same can be said about bringing in Sledgehammer Games,” said Bowling to GameZines, stating the firm comes from “a very different background and who have added a lot to things like the storytelling and the way that we do things that have been beneficial.

“It’s co-development across the board as if we were one team. We’re all checking into the same tree and we’re all building off the same builds, so there’s never been a clear divide of ‘this is yours, this is ours, don’t touch this, don’t touch that’. It’s across the board of playing to each others strengths and weaknesses.”

Modern Warfare 3 is out on November 8.

Modern Warfare 2 was actually a pretty good game until people started modding it.

u just proved that call of duty is bad cuz u can mod it. battle field cant be modded like that and thats why battlefield is better

the only modded part is people modding cod 4 and theres gonna be a patch on it soon, and waw and thats just in zombies cause multiplayer sucks a$$ mw2 isnt even modded anymore so black ops really never was so hop off because ur just mad cause its the MOST POPULAR FRANCHISE in the WORLD

*Sigh* Okay, here we go. The reason so many mods were made for Modern Warfare 2 was BECAUSE IT WAS SO GOOD AND POPULAR. Since Everybody got MW2 and liked it, that means SO DID THE HACKERS. One of the main reasons Battlefield is modded nowhere near as much as Call of Duty is because it isn't as popular and doesn't have nearly as much players. The point (And yes there is a point): Battlefield 3, if it becomes as popular as MW2 did, WILL have many hackers attempting to change the game, just like MW2. Jeez, you guys are idiot fanboys who blindly follow other's leads in hopes of getting some self-support that honestly doesn't matter in real life. Both games will be great, calm down bro.

There is no better game, its all opinion and preference. You clearly prefer Battlefield, while I prefer CoD. Everyones got their own views and preferences.
