Modern Warfare 3 Gets Color-blind Mode

For Call of Duty fans who suffer from color blindness, Sledgehammer Games is developing a Color Blind Assist option to be included in Modern Warfare 3. Sledgehammer VP and COO Michael Condrey addressed the following:

Research suggests that as much as 6% of the general population suffers from Color Blindness, or more accurately Color Vision Deficiency. Men (9-12%) are 20x more likely to be afflicted than women (0.25-1%). Those numbers vary depending on which source you quote, but we estimate that nearly a million gamers are playing Call of Duty every day with this issue. I am happy to report that we are working on a Color Blind Assist option for Modern Warfare 3.

Although this announcement might be overlooked by gamers, it is lenient for those who suffer from the color defects that might exclude them from enjoying Modern Warfare 3 as much as those who do not suffer from it. It’s pretty nice of them to feature this option, isn’t it?

Yea, Im left handed and it feels so weird to play with the gun on the right side. It feels unnatural :/

It has nothing to do with blurring it, it changes the color schemes so color blind people can tell them apart. Most people have red green deficiency, which means that they get red and green mixed up. For example: On the minimap, I cannot tell if a harrier is an enemy's or a friendly's.

And what the **** do you mean by normal people, its simply vision defiency, were not retarded.

Its a really good thing they're doing this, but they're taking to competition too far out of hand also. Expect a sign language mode in battlefield or something.
