Google’s Stadia will eventually be able to support 8K

Google revealed its new gaming platform, Stadia, that will be available later this year.

At launch, Stadia will support 4K and 60 fps with HDR and surround sound. If you’re streaming, it will share directly to YouTube and also run at 4K and 60 fps.

Phil Harrison also announced that in future, you’ll be able to play in 8K with 120 fps. Downloads and updates will be a thing of the past as you’ll be able to click on a link and access a game in under five seconds.

This is good for the future, but let's focus on higher refresh rates for 4k.

Unsure why they would even say this. It's like Samsung saying their tv's will support 64k in the future.. no shit. Everyone who's a competitor in any business will be able to support whatever is out there. As for the whole streaming service / no download or updates, I could care less. Not like it takes up our time anyways. Consoles auto update even when they are "off". If there is a live update, GB downloads take minutes. I grab a bite, come back and voila.
