Modern Aiming option added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection

4.2
The January Halo: The Master Chief Collection update this week added a “modern aiming” feature.

343 Industries added the modern aiming feature to Halo: The Master Chief Collection this week alongside a list of fixes, and playlist additions.

According to the studio, the feature was designed to help address feedback regarding aim acceleration not ‘feeling right.’

The option feature should help smooth out aim acceleration zones on controllers by using values similar to Halo 2: Anniversary and Halo 4.

Once the option is enabled you will find cursor movement much smoother, and aim acceleration zones in the diagonals harder to activate.

The new setting is turned on by default in the older titles, but can be changed back to legacy via Controller Settings.

This week’s update also added Super Duper Fiesta to the playlist, featuring mix of Fiesta variants across the games. It replaces the Team Action Sack option for the time being.

This is the reason I quit playing MCC I was crazy good at halo 2/3 back in the day and when this came out it felt completely different while aiming

Mario350 its cool and all but does it remove aim acceleration aka the speed that hinders your accuracy? which is a modern feature nowadays for some reason idk why, i legit play mcc at 1sens with aim accel at the lowest it can go and it still feels like insane(10) from cod, so if anyone tried this out yet let me know because ill def go on and play some matches if this option fixes that, just to lazy to renew my memberships, only reason i stopped playing was because of the aim acceleration, but im glad to see this option show up wish more devs implemented this type of stuff

Aim acceleration is still in the game. All that is, is how quickly you begin to get up to going full speed, like when you're spinning around. If you can't play at 1 sensitivity then you just haven't gotten around to playing enough and getting the hang of it. A majority play between 4-7 so I think you need to practice a bit more and with how good the game has been going now is a good time

I'm really glad that 343i are still addressing issues that the community are bringing up.

Great to see. I lost my Master Chief collection when I traded in an extra xbox one I had at the time, pretty sure I left it in the disc tray. Can't wait for more info on the new Halo!
