Hip-hop artist Soulja Boy has come back with an all-new unoriginal console after a suspected Nintendo lawsuit - The SouljaGame Handheld. (It's a PlayStation Vita knock-off.)
DeAndre Cortez Way, known “professionally” as Soulja Boy, has taken the world by storm lately through the release of many Soulja brand products. Some of these products were consoles that seemed to be direct knock-offs of Nintendo products such as the Wii U and GameBoy. They were removed without a trace in late December 2018 with the assumption of a Nintendo lawsuit. Since then, a brand new SouljaGame Handheld has been listed – and… it’s a PlayStation Vita knock-off.

Surprise! I bet you weren’t expecting tha- oh, you were? Fair enough. Now, all we have to do is sit back and wait for the “Sony ain’t gon do SHIT” tweets to roll in. The console is listed at $99.99 USD for sale under a $200.00 MSRP. Here are the specifications of the SouljaGame Handheld.

Yep. The screen resolution is 480×272. That is the same resolution as the PlayStation Portable (PSP) from 2005. This thing is $100. It’s basically ripping off the design of a PlayStation Vita with the specs of a PSP. But I doubt Soulja Boy cares, he’s a production machine. Other listings on his SouljaWatch website include a knock-off of Apple AirPods, an Apple Watch and Chinese smartphones/tablets.

As I mentioned before, a series of tweets from the rapper in December 2018 took aim at Nintendo and his critics, assuring them that “Nintendo aint gon do SHIT” and that his GameBoy and Wii lookalikes were “not going anywhere”. Just over a week later, all trace of the tweets and consoles were removed, with Soulja Boy tweeting “I had to boss up, I didn’t have a choice.”
