Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown’s File Size Revealed for PS4 and Xbox One

3.4
With Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown’s release just around the corner (in case all the new trailers did not tip you off), you probably want to know just how much space you should be clearing up on your console’s hard drive, so that you will be able to install the game that will hopefully revive the franchise, and indeed, the whole genre, when it launches. The good news is, now we know its file size, so we know exactly how much stuff you need to be deleting to make room for the game.

The PS4 version of the game comes in at just under 54GB (53.78GB of space needed, to be specific), while the Xbox One version comes in at a far smaller 35.62GB. It is very rare for the Xbox version fo a game to have a smaller file size than the PS4 version, but in this case, the PS4 version of Ace Combat 7 also has (limited) PlayStation VR compatibility, and I suspect that a lot of the file size differential can be explained away that way.

Ace Combat 7 launches for PS4 and Xbox One on January 18, and on February 1 for PC.

Seems relatively small, that's always good to see. Hopefully there isn't some crazy day one patch

I mean 35 gigs for Xbox is a good amount, and having PlayStation with VR added that extra amount.
