The Xbox One is finally slated to see the arrival of Black Desert Online beginning in 2019 and as of today, we now know at least when we’ll be able to purchase the game.

Pearl Abyss announced earlier this morning that pre-orders for Black Desert Online will go live on Xbox One beginning on January 7 on the Microsoft Store. This is the first major piece of information that has been divulged about the game’s upcoming Xbox One release since its open beta period last month.

It’s worth noting though that Black Desert Online still doesn’t have a release date on Xbox One, so even if you do pre-order it in January, it’s hard to know just when it will actually arrive. That said, Pearl Abyss claims it will be “the first major MMORPG release of 2019” which leads me to think it’ll launch in the early portion of the year. I guess that remains to be seen, though.

Regardless, we’ll likely hear more from Pearl Abyss and this console release of Black Desert Online hopefully more in the near future.
