Battlefield 5 drops down to $30 in new sale

4.5
Just days after launch, Battlefield 5 has seen its first price drop at two major US retailers.

Battlefield 5 doesn’t appear to be doing well at retail. This much is clear from looking at the game’s first week sales in the UK, but it appears the US didn’t fare much better.

The Battlefield 5 standard edition, which only just released on November 20, is currently on sale at Best Buy, and Target in the US. Best Buy is offering the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions for $40. The offer is valid only on physical copies, but it’s worth noting that the PC version only comes with a code in the box, rather than a disc.

It’s not clear how long this sale will be available for, but GCU members report that their membership discounts stack with the sale offer for an even better price. For the PS4, and Xbox One versions, buyers will also receive a free steelbook case with their purchase.

The best deal right now, however, is available at Target. The retailer is offering the same version for PS4, and Xbox One at a measly $30. The PC version appears to be exempt from this, sadly. The deal ends this Thursday, November 29.

Some players have reported being able to get Best Buy to match Target’s price, and even do the same with Amazon in some cases. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Amazon does not currently offer specific Battlefield 5 discounts, but it does have two PC physical copies on sale for $40 at the time of writing.

Two_Faced Oh hahaha I'm wondering where all the fanboys are saying this is a great game. This game is horrible and their policies make it worse. Hasn't even been out for a month and is half price. Sad so many developers can't see their mistakes and correct them or make up for them. So glad I didn't get this game or call of duty. It's the same recycled shit year after year.

What is so terrible about this game? The fact that it is repetitive? If that is your argument, then you must hate a lot of games...

It's a battlefield title surely that implies it's going to be similar to all previous titles xD

It's not the gameplay that makes it terrible. It's the fact that they released half of a game, some of the main selling features aren't included at launch. Yes it's recycled and the same type of game as before. All I'm saying is that most developers don't take risks anymore. They don't try new game types, but they are happy to copy other games with successful game modes. Also, their reactions about all the PC in the game shows what type of developers they are. Don't get it twisted, they are put to make as much money as possible off of recycled content. Oh and the "don't buy it we don't care" attitude didn't help a thing.

I don't like V personally. Seems like a upgrade of 1 but with a lot of the features I wanted comming later which is ass, dont announce shit if you cant release it at start.

Blackops 4 atleast attempted to make a balance of new features, like the operator mods and equipment.

This game is fantastic, I'm not sure why people think it's not good. It's BLOWING black ops 4 out of the water.

Glock- I have no idea what the big problem is. I've been playing Battlefield 5 for over a week and I quite enjoy it. Of course it has some bugs and glitches but that's expected with a game that size on release. Same thing happened to battlefield 4. Once it got its patches it was a great game. People only hate it because of the "inaccuracies" of the historical portion of it. Which is beyond stupid. I don't care if you can play as a female during WWII. It's a video game. If this was a remake of Saving Private Ryan with Melissa McCarthy as lead character. That's something to be pissed about.

It's a game, build a bridge and get the hell over it.

OR don't cuck out and don't buy it period. Besides that aspect, its just a BF1 clone anyways. BF3 was the last great one.
