Fallout 76’s Microtransaction Currency Prices Revealed

3.9
Fallout 76 will allow players to purchase in game cosmetics via a currency named “Atoms”. Atoms will also be purchasable via real world money, and now, we finally know exactly how much money you will need to spend too get them, thanks to GameStop Ireland posting the prices on their website.

The actual conversion isn’t too bad—it seems to be 100 Atoms for €1, meaning you get 500 Atoms for €5, 1,000 Atoms for €10 (with a bonus 100 Atoms thrown in), and 2,000 Atoms for €20 (with a bonus 400 Atoms thrown in). You get 4,000 Atoms for €40, with an additional 1,000 Atoms thrown in.

Now, it is important to remember these Atoms can all be earned in game. Additionally, the average price of most cosmetic items as known right now, via Reddit, is 500 Atoms or less, though there definitely are some things that cost far more. This isn’t too bad as pricing goes. I would have fathered that the game not have any microtransactions at all, but on the other hand, at least this isn’t lootboxes…

Fallout 76 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Bethesda has recently confirmed that reports about the PC version being easily hackable are false, and that they will continue to address legitimate issues that are reported.
