Battlefield V Will Not Include Map Voting At Launch

3.1
In the newest Battlefield V Weekly Debrief, it was revealed that map voting will not be present during the launch of EA’s upcoming war shooter.

EA DICE has been doing Weekly Debriefs on Reddit that have been providing readers with information and screenshots for the upcoming game. This week’s post provided a curated selection of the week’s newest articles, videos, blog posts, and screenshots. Concluding the Weekly Debrief was a section dedicated to feedback with developers answering questions from the community. This included the question that asked, “Is map voting between rounds in Battlefield V?” Level Designer Matthias Wagner simply stated, “Unfortunately, this will not be available at launch.”

Looking at some of the comments below, the community seems fine with a map voting feature never being implemented. The primary reason for this belief seems to be that it would allow for more map variety since the “good” or “popular” map wouldn’t get voted in every time.

Also among these questions included a detailed rundown of all the vehicles included in each map during certain game modes. This listed how many tanks, transport vehicles, planes, and reinforcements.

Lastly, we get a sneak peek of what’s to come for the week of November 5, 2018. Most notably, Origin Acess and EA Access members will get early access to Battlefield V starting on November 9, 2018. While it is just a 10-hour period, it is the full game so you’ll be able to access just about every feature the game has to provide.

Additionally, we can expect an official launch trailer, a few guides, an overview of offerings, and launch notes for Battlefield V. The last bullet on that list says, “surprises coming!” What that may entail is still unknown… which makes sense since it’s supposed to be a surprise.

Battlefield V is the latest installment of the long-running first-person shooter franchise. This time, the game will be going back to its roots as it is set in World War II. It will feature everything you would expect from the popular shooter, as well as a brand new battle royale mode, Firestorm, which is expected to release post-launch in March 2019.

Battlefield V launches on November 20, 2018, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you purchase the Deluxe Edition, you’ll get early access to the game on November 15, 2018.

I really can't wait for this game to drop, it's going to be the shooter of the year without a doubt.

Exactly the same thought I've been having. Sounds like it'll be a pretty solid game in a year or so though.

Kind of seems like the deal with most of the new games coming out now a days, even huge Triple A titles like CoD and Battlefield, it really sucks but I kind of understand because the games are so massive, but they make millions every year it's ridiculous.

Why won't you allow the players to choose what map they want? So dumb

I don't like this. They did it with the new MCC update and it actually sucks not having voting.
