Microsoft’s CEO Plans to Expand Xbox Game Pass to PC

4.1
Over the past few years, Microsoft has slowly become less about releasing all of their games exclusively on the Xbox platform of the time and has instead started to release all first-party titles for both console and PC. Now, it seems like the company is planning on expanding another service to PC in the future that as of now is only available on consoles.

In a recent earnings call going over financials for Q1 of the fiscal year 2019, Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella spoke about the state of Xbox and specifically touched on the company’s subscription service, Xbox Game Pass. With an ever-growing back catalog of games and all first-party releases coming to the service on day one, Xbox Game Pass has been a success for Microsoft since it kicked off in 2017. Moving forward, Nadella said that Microsoft has plans to bring this same service to PC.

As of this moment, details are still sparse and it’s unknown exactly when Microsoft might look to bring Game Pass over to PC. That said, the prospect of this happening is still pretty exciting and only continues to strengthen the benefits of being a subscriber in the first place.

We’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled to see if Microsoft has anything more to say about Game Pass heading to PC in the near future. If we’re lucky, maybe it’s something they’ll discuss a bit more next month during XO18.

This is great news for PC users, and great news from microsoft. Now I usually just game on xbox but by bringing it to PC they will gain a lot more subscribers to the program.
