Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Version Listed For Late 2019

4.1
Although Rockstar refuses to give a definitive statement on whether or not Red Dead Redemption 2 will launch on PC, there is a general expectation that it most likely, eventually will. While the original game never did, thanks to its code being a bit of a mess, the success of Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC, particularly GTA Online, more or less ensures Rockstar won’t want to miss on that gravy train this time around. Especially since Red Dead Redemption 2 has its own Red Dead Online component.

Now, there seems to be some evidence that a PC version of the game may in fact be real, and may come next year. Swedish retailer MediaMarkt has placed an online listing for a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2, with a December 31, 2019 release date (with the release date clearly being a placeholder). The listing is no longer available on the retailer’s website, but we’ve attached a screenshot of it below (via Segment Next). It’s unclear whether or not this is indicative of any concrete knowledge that they may have as to the game’s existence, but retailers have often been known to leak the existence of products before they are officially announced.

If you would rather not wait for the PC version of the game, Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on October 26 for PS4 and Xbox One.

Don't really see myself playing Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, but I'm sure a lot of PC nerds would love to see it come to the platform.

Decy Why are they refusing to say if its going to be on pc or not? I'd just say its defo gonna be there if there taking any of there knowledge from gta 5 then of course it will be.... may aswell just put the people out of there misery rockstar....

Wait until people buy it for console and enjoy it, then release it on PC at full price so they have to buy it again.

Maximise sales when it comes out, if they said it'll come out on PC at a later date, people will put off buying it until that release. It's just another way of maximising sales.

considering the last two red deads arent on pc theres a high possibility that rd3 wont be on pc at all going off by pass red dead games which both are console exclusive and have never been to pc without emulation, id wait for official word from rockstar but considering red dead 2(rdr1) was a highly requested game to port over to pc like gta5 but only gta5 got a pc version few years after ps4 xbone and last gens so theres a high chance of both no pc(past games) and highly demanding pc crowd

This kind of makes me want to wait to get it until it's out on PC. I've already contemplated buying GTAV for the THIRD time so I'd rather not buy this one multiple times.

I really hope it does, I'm gonna hold off getting in on console unless we find out it's definitely not gonna be on PC
