Final Fantasy XIV Online’s Spooky All Saints’ Wake Event Begins Today

5
October is the month where everyone finds an excuse to watch a bunch of horror movies, eat buckets of candy, and put props in their front yard that depict gruesome murders in the most charming way possible. It’s also the month Final Fantasy XIV Online players can roam around Gridania for the game’s annual All Saints’ Wake event.

From Friday, October 19, 2018, at 1:00 a.m. to Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 7:59 a.m., you can head to the Continental Circus in Gridania and begin your quest to earn some spooky Halloween themed items. Two ghost minions, Little Yin and Little Yang, as well as a variety of house items, will be available at the All Saints’ Wake vendor. If you missed any All Saints’ Wake items from the previous years it has been around, certain items will also be available at the vendor.

A seasonal quest called “The Sinister Soiree” will also be available in Old Gridania via the Adventurers’ Guild Investigator. You will need to be level 15 and have completed the quest “It’s Probably Pirates” before you can start the quest. Here is the quest text to give you an idea of what’s going on at the Continental Circus:

“The Continental Circus has returned to Gridania, the Impresario inviting citizens and adventurers alike to don their guises for a frightfully delightful masquerade at the troupe’s mansion. Yet the Adventurers’ Guild Investigator suspects that a deeper deception lies beneath…”

A few weeks after the in-game event is over, the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival will be held in Las Vegas on November 16-17, 2018. The show may be sold out but you’ll be able to keep up with all the festivities on the official Final Fantasy XIV Twitch channel.

Final Fantasy XIV Online initially released in 2010 and was critically panned. The rebooted and current version of the game, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, released in 2013 for PC and PS3 — it released on PS4 and Mac in 2014 and 2015 respectively — and improved upon its poorly received predecessor.

Stormblood is the newest expansion for Final Fantasy XIV. Released in 2017 for PC and PS4, it brought in a bunch of new features and adventures such as new jobs, an increased level cap, and the addition of the city Kugane. It also marked the end of support for PS3 players.

Final Fantasy XIV Online, which passed 14 million registered players earlier this year, is available now for PC and PS4.
