Borderlands 2 Heading to PlayStation VR in December

4
Gearbox Software’s critically acclaimed Borderlands 2 will be receiving a VR release on December 14th for PlayStation VR. It will only support single-player but features the same loot-grinding, Vault Hunting chaos that fans loved about the original. Check out the trailer below.

Borderlands 2 VR does feature a few new mechanics to make the transition to virtual reality easier. It’s possible to slow down time and properly aim with different skills for classes taking advantage of this. Otherwise, the four base classes – Siren, Commando, Gunzerker and Assassin – are all here.

Movement is handled by pointing and teleporting to a spot though you can also move with joysticks as well. Changing weapons, navigating menus and so on can also be done by pointing and clicking. Perhaps the coolest new feature is racing around in first person with weapon aiming done via the headset.

Though Borderlands 2 VR will arrive for PlayStation VR in December, there’s currently no information on whether it will hit Oculus Rift or HTC Vive. Stay tuned for more details regardless.

Gearbox is pulling a Bethesda re-selling the same game over an over and over, but never the less I can't complain borderlands 2 VR looks sweet, and hopefully soon they'll give us news on BL3.
