Halo: The Master Chief Collection Will Get “Mixtape Matchmaking”

3.8
Something fans have been asking for with the by-now largely fixed Halo: The Master Chief Collection is “mixtape matchmaking”; which is to say, a type of matchmaking that will let players compose their own custom filters for the kinds of games and playlists they want to play. Now, it seems like 343 Industries will be bringing the feature to the collection after all.

Brian Jarrard, the 343 Industries community director, posted on Thursday a tweet showing an in progress build of mixtape matchmaking for The Master Chief Collection. The screenshot seems to suggest that players will be able to pick the size of the game, the actual game(s) they want included, the mode(s) they want included, and then jump into matchmaking. Give that The Master Chief Collection includes four Halo games, a feature like this is bound to be something the community largely ends up appreciating.

We don’t have a date on when this will be out, but hopefully, 343 Industries is able to test it out internally and then roll it out to players some time soon. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available exclusively on Xbox One.https://gamingbolt.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/Halo-The-Master-Chief-Collection.jpg

Sounds like an excellent idea for matchmaking, and will give longevity to the multiplayer and to play through the different halos randomized is kind of cool.

This will make it so we can find matches more quickly.

Should make it easier to find a game if you can look for 6 games at once lol
