Epic Games Reveals Details for Fortnite Fall Skirmish Event

4.3
Battle royale game Fortnite is showing no signs of slowing down, with a previously-announced Fall Skirmish event on the way. Succeeding the Summer Skirmish series, details remained sparse on Fall Skirmish, until a blog post from developer Epic Games today.

The event is kicking off next weekend and will have a prize pool of $10 million. The series will last for six weeks, going all the way to TwitchCon, which will last from October 26 to 28. Fall Skirmish will have a “new approach” compared to that of the Summer Skirmish, consisting of “Competitive” and “Entertainment” events.

Over 500 competitors will be divided into five “Clubs,” called Fort Knights, Lucky Llamas, Dusty Dogs, Rift Raiders, and Bush Bandits. These Clubs will earn points throughout the series based on their members’ performance in matches. At the end of the event, Clubs will be awarded up to $4 million based on how many points they’ve earned.

The details on how points are distributed are as follows:

WEEK 1 SKIRMISH – HOLD THE THRONE DUOS

The Duo team with the most points at the end of 6 matches wins. Victory Royales and Eliminations will be scored to determine placement at the end of the event. The top 10 teams at the end of the competition will be awarded.

  • VICTORY ROYALE: +3 POINTS

  • 2ND-3RD PLACE: +2 POINTS

  • 4TH-5TH PLACE: +1 POINT

  • 8+ ELIMINATIONS: +3 POINTS

  • 6-7 ELIMINATIONS: +2 POINTS

  • 4-5 ELIMINATIONS: +1 POINT

  • HOLD THE THRONE (MOST ELIMINATIONS IN ANY MATCH): +2 POINTS

Spencer That's an insane cash prize for those teams, it's exciting too see how far this game is come and clearly how much money it has made.

It definitely acts to show the scale of this games success.

Craig Crazy amounts for a free to play game, the devs must be astounded how far this game has come.

I mean, with the way they run their game most people have ended up spending more than a regular game (60$) but it is still very crazy cause it's the first time to be done
