No Man’s Sky Now Lets Players Become a Heavy-Set Astronaut

4
No Man’s Sky was reinvigorated when the NEXT update was released. A big part of it was that the update enabled players to play in the third person. With their characters now fully in view, players set about customizing their armor, race, and colors–but until now–they were all the same size.

Patch 1.59 introduced a slew of new updates including new base building features, a new helmet, a new laughing gesture, and fixed a bunch of issues. Most importantly though, it allows players to finally have control over their body shape.

That’s right Major Tom! Ground control’s got no issue with you bringing as many Oreos as you want on your spaceship. You can check out all five different body shapes in the fancy Gif below along with the patch notes. You can find a detailed description of the other changes that were made over on the No Man’s Sky Developer Update page.

Patch 1.59 Patch Notes:
  • Fixed an issue where the starship was unable to land after changing missions while facing a mission marker.
  • Fixed an issue where players with corrupt saves would be recovered but have no ship (please note – this involves instances where the ship was the corrupt data, and so ships have been restored to default).
  • Fixed an issue that could cause discoveries to stop saving.
  • Fixed an issue where players with a specific number of inventory slots would have some slots hidden by other UI elements.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause Community Research portals not to return players to the correct galaxy after mission completion.
  • Ensured that the first entry in the Space Station Teleport list will take players in the incorrect galaxy back to their home galaxy.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause portals to close and not lead players back to the correct planet.
  • Fixed an issue where players could become stuck on a black screen.

No Man’s Sky Next released on July 24 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

I bought it then refunded it because I knew I wouldn't put the time to play it. Awesome to see all the new updates though!

I have no idea why this is so funny to me. Anything for the players though I guess, since the game has risen in extreme popularity with its newest updates.
