Call of Duty: WWII Covert Storm Event Officially Announced

3.8
Fresh off the flood of Blackout news that was released today, Sledgehammer Games has revealed a brand new in-game event for Call of Duty: WWII players: Covert Storm, and like the previous events, this one adds a ton of free content, albeit a bit less than normal.

Just like the others, Covert Storm adds three new weapons to the game: the AS-44 assault rifle, the Proto X-1 submachine gun, and the VMG 1927 light-machine gun, the former of which can be earned by reaching the max level in the Commando Division.

In addition, new animated camos and a new community challenge have finally been added to the game as a part of the event.

Unlike most of the previous events, no new maps have been added to the game with the Covert Storm update, although this really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise considering this is more than likely the last event before Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s release in October.

Covert Storm is live right now in-game, however, if you want a bit preview while your game updates, you can check out the brand new trailer at the end of the article, which shows off everything you’re getting.

Call of Duty: WWII is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. If you want to pick up the game on Amazon, you can do so by clicking here.
