Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Gets Free-To-Play Version

4.2
If you’re somehow a PC gamer that hasn’t picked up Counter-Strike: Global Offensive… how? Anyways, the game has gotten a free-to-play version that’ll allow you to play against AI opponents. You can also view competitive matches. You’ll need to purchase the full game for a chance to go online, but Counter-Strike: Global Offensive frequently goes on sale so if you end up having fun with the free-to-play version, you’ll likely be able to pick up the full version at a discounted price.

Newcomers to the series should definitely consider giving this free-to-play version a try if they have any interest at all in going online. Counter-Strike is a notoriously tougher competitive shooter than what’s available on the market right now. It relies heavily on map knowledge and skill with a mouse and keyboard. You’ll definitely want to take the time to learn every gun and map the game has if you plan on joining a real lobby at any point.

You can pick up Counter-Stike: Global Offensive right now for Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux.

Jimbo So it's literally just to play against AI. That's lame and honestly have no idea why this game still costs money. They barely update it and it's usually flooded with hackers/smurfs in matchmaking. Feel like going F2P with weekly updates would make it more popular.

The whole point of playing again AI is good for shit people like me lol easy wins

This is a sad joke lmao, just buy the game

Dil I personally don't see the point in this, it's advertised to allow the players to watch GOTV matches without paying for the game, but normally any important eSports related match is streamed so this feature seems pretty pointless to me.

Maybe they are advertising it as, watch the streams from the game rather than go on twitch or something?
Either way, the game has been out for so long that if someone wants it, at this point, they should already have it. I don't know if this will make anyone download it to check it out, the buy it.

This game was terrible on the 360, & if it's just play against AI that's pretty whack.
