Battlefield 5: “Combined Arms” Will Not Be Available At Lauch

4
Although there’s a lot to be excited for with the upcoming release of Battlefield V in just a couple of months, it’s also been a little disappointing to learn that some features such as the battle royale mode and vehicle customization will not be available at launch. As if this wasn’t bad enough, it has now been discovered that the new co-op mode, Combined Arms, is yet another feature that will not be available at launch. On the Battlefield V website, Combined Arms is mentioned as something that is coming “after launch”, as spotted on Twitter by Battlefield Bulletin.

At this point, it’s seriously worth questioning why so many important features of the game are going to be missing at launch. We already know that the game isn’t doing too well when it comes to pre-orders, and something like this isn’t going to do those figures any favours. It doesn’t seem like all the missing features will get players excited for the game’s release, especially when they are much more excited for some other big games releasing in the Holiday season. On the bright side, the game mode Combined Arms sounds like it’s going to be pretty great for both newcomers and veterans, so it may be worth the wait after all.

Battlefield V is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox on October 19.

lbreadstickl I wish companies would scrap their release dates for every year or 2 years. I feel like most, not all, can't seem to have a completed game by the time of its release. And even more so, some aren't even optimized, but then again I consider that part of a game that is completed.

I somewhat agree, they should finish the game then give us a release date so we know for sure and during that time looks for bugs or something

Lemme get something straight here so the mode that BFV used to market their game is not gonna be in at launch

LOVE IT.

There's a reason I haven't bought a game on release since rocket league came out, besides pubg which I preordered when a dev or some higher up said something along the lines of it will for sure be 60fps, then took it back a day or 2 later after I spent it but didn't care enough to cancel because with all the support they had (Microsoft) I figured 2 months and it'd be perfect.. and it's still shit.

Well that means a huge kick in the nuts for their launch, missing modes at launch meh. Why would you bother until the full game is available. They would be better of delaying it.

I'm trying to like this game I really am but they're constantly running into problems and the devs seem to be struggling a bit with this so it's putting me off

I'm pretty sure they knew that the features wouldn't be arriving when they announced the game. I am pretty sure they are leaving announcement features out to make the bf online service to have regular monthly updates with major features each month rather than some camos every month. While I like the idea, I wish it would be a surprise what would be coming each month
