H1Z1 has seen its fair share of updates this year so far, so it comes as no surprise to see even more starting to flood in given its success on the PS4. In the first 24 hours, 1.5M players came in to see what all the fuss was about and then 4.5 million players on PS4 in the first three days.

Developer Daybreak Games revealed today that they plan on even more upcoming content and discuss feature plans for H1Z1: Battle Royale in their developer update video. In the video, Producer Terrence Yee and Lead Designer Mike Madden thank fans for sticking with them and giving them much-needed feedback, some surprising news on the much sought-after arcade mode and an announcement on a bonus for players who log in over this coming weekend.

Here is a breakdown of some of the upcoming content you can expect to see:

Arcade Mode — Starting this weekend, Shotties and Snipers is coming to the PS4 Arcade Mode. This ruleset plays out like a typical Solos game, except the only weapons available throughout the match are Shotguns and Snipers.

Weapons – Additional weapons will be coming to the game, expanding the arsenal with new short, medium, and long-range guns.

Daily Challenges – H1Z1 is expanding the existing line-up of the Daily Challenge system with brand-new challenges.

Leaderboards – The first rollout of leaderboards will launch with Season 2 of the Battle Pass.

As a thank you gift to the 12+ million players who have joined H1Z1, Daybreak Games are giving out the first ever Marauder skin. Fancy getting your hands on it? All you have to do is log in and play a match before August 26th at 11:59 PM PT.
