EA FY11: BF3 “flat out superior” to CoD, losses trimmed

EA has said pre-orders for Battlefield 3 are hugely higher than those for Bad Company 2, and has shown solid results for both the full-year ending March 31 and its fiscal Q4. EA lost $276 million in the year ended March 31, narrowed from the $677 million lost in the previous year, while sales stayed virtually unmoved at $3.589 billion compared to last year’s $3.654 billion.

Profit for the fourth quarter, ending March 31, was well up, at $151 million to $30 million in the previous corresponding period.

The company also said that Battlefield 3 pre-orders were up over 700 percent on Battlefield: Bad Company 2, the last game in the series which released last year.

“We know we have a big competitor, but head-to-head with Call of Duty in Q3, we have the superior game engine, a superior development studio, and a flat out superior game,” said Frank Gibeau. “Our goal is to significantly gain share in the huge FPS category and to put the other team on defense.”

CoD is way better than BF in my opinion, but BF is more realistic in warfare and the campaign i got more into.

iPatobo I don't see why everyone says their opinion is fact,it's not.

What is fact,is sales and a games ranking on XBL.

Fact is CoD is the number one game on Xbox Live,and also has sold out BF each time they compete.

And in my opinion,Call of Duty's campaign & online modes,are far more enjoyable than Battlefield.

Everyone has their own views though,but with Call of Duty's sales,it's not going to "die" any time soon if you look at it logically.

Battlefield 3 being superior or better to Call of Duty is not an opinion but a fact you wouldn't say a cheap rusted old car is better than a brand new Lamborghini.

I love both games and enjoy being able to play either one of them. They both have their pros and cons, which is wht makes them both good games. I am just going to say that the biggest con in Bad Company 2 was how chunky the gameplay was. What I mean it like how when you walk it is almost like it is lagging, or like frames are missing from the animations. I still love the game, but when I saw that Bad Company 3 was on Frostbite 2 engine, I knew it could only get better. I am sure that I will still play that amazing game, Black Ops, but I also am sure that Bad Company will steal a chunk of my gaming hours.

Mpls612 Cod will always be better and one step ahead of all the imitations people try to make..fan bases will never come even close...then with the zombies I'm sorry but it can't be copyed..

Zombies was created by Treyarch and there are two companies always working on a new cod.

Battlefield has never copied cod, and also you play cod to much, play another game lol!
