Overwatch will be free to play on Xbox One this weekend

he popular online shooter will once again be free to play this weekend, the Xbox team announced earlier this week. Being an online game, you’ll need an active Xbox Live Gold subscription to take part in this Free Weekend which will run from August 23–27.

This is the third time this year that Blizzard is offering an Overwatch weekend on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. As usual, you’ll have access to the full list of heroes, game modes and maps, and any progress you make during this free weekend will carry over if you decide to buy the full game later.

You can already download the Overwatch Free Weekend client from the link below, though be aware that you won’t be able to start playing until tomorrow, August 23 at 11:00 AM PDT. In case you don’t have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription, we also remind you Microsoft is currently offering one month of Gold for just $2 for new subscribers.

Nearly 2k hours on this game. If i got one complaint is the blatant hard counters. If you don't like games with hard counters to certain characters, you might want to turn away before you invest too much time into it. The game as it is now, i cant recommend it to anyone.

Damn it started two days ago. I wish I knew I would of downloaded it by now. If anyone hasn't given Overwatch a try I highly suggest giving it a download.

This is great news for me, have been waiting for something like this for ages, as ive always wanted to play Overwatch, but never really wanted to pay for it lol. Will be jumping on this for some fun all weekend ayyyy.

Overwatch is a very fun game and this would be a wonderful time to buy it because you can try it out then decide.

The community on here is slightly toxic and very competitive so coming in as the new guy may not be easy but youll never be behind other players all players have access to the same exact equipment regardless of rank.
