Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1180 is reportedly coming next month

4.1
According to VideoCardz, Nvidia has begun inviting journalists to an event at Gamescom, where the company will launch its next generation of graphics cards, including the GeForce GTX 1180. A specific date and time is not known just yet, but it seems that the time is close.

After all, we're already seeing new devices launching with promises of using the new GPUs. For example, Lenovo's Legion Y530 and Y730, which were announced three weeks ago, come with GTX 1050Ti GPUs, and will go up to GTX 1170 when those available. While OEMs aren't spilling the beans on a date, it does mean that it should be soon enough.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1180 is likely going to be able to handle gameplay at 4K with a 144Hz refresh rate. With current hardware, you'd need a 1080p display to get that frame rate, or you can do 4K at 60Hz. According to The Verge, it will include 3,584 CUDA cores, a 1.6GHz to 1.8GHz clock speed, and up to 16GB of GDDR6 memory.

Little else is known at this time, but you can expect the news to flow in over the next month or so.

EliteXploit Looks like it will be a nice card, I wonder how powerful the 1180ti will be.

A fraction, honestly. Isn't that how it always it?
But I'll still buy the TI over the regular, because I'm a sucker for special editions and such. Lol.

Can't wait to upgrade from my 980Ti

I am planning on building my first ever PC near the end of the year, hopefully due to these new models, we might see a decrease in 10th Gen Nvidia GPU's.
