PlayStation Vue is Getting a Price Increase for Subscriptions

4.1
Since its introduction in 2015, Sony’s PlayStation Vue joined the trend of alternative cable service providers with a flexible (and affordable) means of accessing cable programming, though subscribers will be seeing a small price hike taking effect starting at the end of the month.

Over on the PlayStation Blog, Sony has announced that a price increase will be taking effect for PlayStation Vue across all of its subscription tiers — Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra — by $5 per month. The change itself will be be implemented starting after July 31st, 2018, with the price increase to take effect with subscribers’ billing statements after that date.

While the price increase was explained by Sony as necessary to “keep pace with rising business costs” and to enable the company to continue providing more of Vue’s services, the increase itself will not impact the current add-ons or standalone channels available through the service, or its current selection of networks and programming.

Currently, PlayStation Vue offers subscribers access to a number of cable channels and networks such as Discovery Channel, AMC, Disney Channel, ESPN, HGTV, The Food Network, and more, while also providing access to premium channels on a standalone basis without the need for a standard cable plan, such as HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, and more.

are they actually trying to kill their brand?

Sony just seems to keep trying to take peoples money, now this to add onto no crossplay...

I don't use this but for the people that do that's quite a price increase, can see some people stopping their subscriptions due to this matter

That's quite an increase tbh. Extra $60 a year... Ridiculous how much they try to milk their customers out of money.

Reminds me of runescape increasing their membership prices to $11 and still having no customer support lol.
