Secretlab TITAN, The final boss of gaming chairs (Review)

4
It is absolutely crucial to pick the right computer chair. The decision over which to buy shouldn’t be taken lightly, especially if you’re going to be spending several hours of each day sitting on the chair you end up buying. Over the years we’ve seen big changes in design and style, with the current trend headed towards gaming computer chairs.

We’ve taken a look at various computer chairs, some good, some that may try and kill you if you lean back too far and some that, well, just try too hard to look fancy, but fail at their primary job of being a comfortable computer chair.

The hunt for the most comfortable computer chair is the dream of most gamers and power users, but finding a chair that really hits all the marks is impossible with the internet filled with paid reviews or shameless affiliate link plugs; it’s hard to trust what is written about most of the chairs that you read online. After a tip off from a fellow TTG user, it seems we may have found the final boss of computer chairs that may be hard for competitors to beat.

Enter, Secret Lab. We didn't know much about them but after some hard detective work (We went to Wikipedia and then fact checked it) we found that they had won an Emerging Enterprise Award in 2017 an award given to young outstanding businesses.

Alright, fancy awards are nice and all but now the product really does need to live up to the hype. So we visited Secret lab and snagged the first one on the list: The ‘Titan’ and waited. (Final Fantasy 7 Sleeping music plays)

Three days later the box showed up, and man was it impressive. Everything was packed perfectly and some of it even came preassembled. After taking some time to enjoy the new smell and slowly peeling the protective plastic away (everyone does that right? so satisfying!), the building began and it was quick, painless and almost impossible to go wrong since the instructions are printed onto a large A3 sheet that told us the do’s and don’ts of assembly in a step by step format.

It was finished quickly, we now had a built the Secret Lab Titan gaming chair. Sitting in the chair for the first time I was amazed at just how solid it was. The chair was silent. Not a single squeak, no air rushing out, no metal knocking or the leather moving. It was just silent. The padding just hugs you as the chair almost molds around your posture. I found myself reaching behind me trying to find the Lumbar Pillow that comes with most gaming chairs, something I had become accustomed to. This brings us to one of the best parts of this chair; the Lumbar support is built into the chair and it is totally adjustable. On the side of the chair you can just turn the dial and set the Lumbar support to be how you want it. No more sitting forward in your chair and the pillow slipping around. This has to be one of the best chair designs that I have stumbled across.

Nothing about the Secret Lab Titan feels cheap, out of place, or a waste of money. Everything has a reason. There is a little metal button on each arm of the chair allowing you to move the arm rests side to side, back and forth, up and down, and each arm rest has a soft support so you can lean on them in comfort. The Titan allows you to lock the back in place to give you total back support (It won’t move at all), or you can set it to rock with your movements. Of course, you can lay back if you want the main feature. I now have the best posture and arm positions for my long-term, heavy duty gaming work sessions.

Everything about the Titan is about adjusting to you; it has the best back support. We’ve compared two different chair styles, a gaming chair and a computer chair. It’s quality is unmatched, and it’s craftsmanship is beyond anything we’ve seen on the market over the years. The Titan truly is the final boss of computer chairs not only is its design flawless, its direct competitors are totally inferior in almost every way at this point in time.

The Titan.

This review was published after one full working week with the Secret Lab Titan. Secret Lab didn't approach us, there are no affiliate links and this review was not paid for. This is truly, an honest review on a product that deserves to be recognized.

Pro’s
- Solid and well designed.
- Freedom to change the armrests in so many ways.
- The built in adjustable Lumbar support is genius.
- Unmatched comfort & back support.

Con’s
- The placement of the adjustable lumbar control dial is the same height as my desk and so have to be careful not to keep hitting it. Most people won’t have this concern as it is based on desk size and how high or low you have your chair, but for me, having the dial lower would shift that concern.
- It would be nice if there was a way to lock the wheels so the chair could not roll if you wish.

Verdict
If you’re in the market for a new chair or looking for an upgrade there really is nothing better out there in our opinion. We've looked at many chairs and nothing is close to the Titan. It really is the most comfortable chair we've ever tried.

$400 for a chair man i just cant justify it, my most expensive was $130 and it felt wrong

I'm really tempted to upgrade. My DXRacer is really not that comfortable anymore. I can feel the pipe/metal under the seat cushion. 2 1/2 years, of this thing lol

These Chairs Looks So clean i just personally dont need one

This chair would definitely be worth the money. Considering how much time some people spend in front of a PC, comfort is number one priority. The more expensive chairs can also prevent back pain. a worthy investment if you ask me.

As a person in desperate need of a new chair, I have been contemplating on which chair to commit to. I am also a person with horrible back issues, so this chair seems like it would suit me best. What a great review and I can see why this is one of the top rated chairs on the market right now.

I see you have the same problem I hate, my chair always rolling away from my desk omfg, its so annoying, I don't even know if any gaming chairs have locks on the wheels no? That looks a very well made chair, very high quality gonna last you forever. Some people might say the price $399 is expensive, but then again as you said if you spending all day gaming or what ever, its hella worth it. I wish I see this before I bought my gaming chair, mine was around £270, and dont look half as good as your Sean :( Anyway, you done a banging review mate, and anyone that sees this is gonna be very convinced to buy one. I just wish you posted this before I bought my one lol. The black and gold logo just makes it look popping, red stitching is a nice touch to. Great review Sean, you should do more of theses :)
