US and EU PSN outage could last “a day or two”, says Sony

he US PS Blog has confirmed that certain PlayStation Network functions are offline, and an update from SCEA’s Patrick Seybold advises that it could last for a day or two.


“We are investigating the cause of the Network outage, we wanted to alert you that it may be a full day or two before we’re able to get the service completely back up and running,” he wrote on the US PS Blog.

“Thank you very much for your patience while we work to resolve this matter. Please stay tuned to this space for more details, and we’ll update you again as soon as we can.”

SCEE has updated the EU PS Blog with the same message.

The extent of the outage is not clear. Users have reported being unable to log into the PlayStation Network from consoles or web pages.

With the amount of time PSN has been cut off or shut down you'd think by now Sony would of just left it and started to throw all there funding into the new console.

iModGames I don't think this is down to "Anonymous". As they said they will not attack the network to keep people off line as it's ruining the experience for the "Innocent Gamer's"


They did recently post a video saying they would need to find other ways of getting SOny's attention and if I'm not wrong, they told people to log into their IRC botnet today... ( I could be wrong because I can't find the video again )


Did eventually find the video again, and apparently they didn't say anything about the botnet but yeah... who knows lol

i wish but i got another website that said that they didnt do it, and anonymous also said that they will not take down their network because it would affect too many inocents so i think that its not them
