Microsoft change Xbox Live Indie Games ratings, only Gold members can score

4.8
Following the abuse of the rating system for the Xbox Live Indie Games service, Microsoft are set to make some changes to how it all works.

A post on the developer’s network blog reads: “We’ve heard your feedback and have made some changes to the ratings system on Xbox.com. Starting [April 18], only users with Xbox LIVE Gold subscriptions will be allowed to rate content on the Xbox.com website.”

That means that people with free Xbox Live accounts won’t be able to abuse the system anymore. Any Gold members that persist are at risk of being banned from the service.

Effective policing there, Mr. Xbox people.

I have never used a rating to decide if I buy the game or not. I download trials, that's what their there for.

Seriously which Indie game dev is crying about this anyway?
