Fortnite shopping carts have been disabled and re-enabled five times

Epic Games is just not having the best time with the new Fortnite shopping carts.

In case you’ve somehow missed it, shopping carts were added to Fortnite with patch v4.3 on May 30, making them the game’s first vehicles.

Unfortunately, thanks to several glitches discovered by the game’s community, Epic Games had to disable them on June 10, before re-enabling them once again with patch v4.4.1 on June 14.

Sadly, this wasn’t the end of it. While everyone was reeling from this year’s busy E3, Epic decided to disable shopping carts early on Sunday due to a bug.

On Wednesday, shopping carts returned, only to disappear yet again on the same day. This is Epic’s most recent update on the situation, though the developer doesn’t go into detail as to why this keeps happening.


The more likely explanation is that someone keeps coming across one glitch or another using the carts. At which point, Epic has no choice but to take them down until a fix is issued, before the same cycle repeats itself when the updated version is released..

This particular situation is not unique to Fortnite, but Epic’s fast turnaround is what makes it seem like a bigger deal than it probably is.

I cant lie, I love the glitches that come with the shopping carts (apart from the ones that make you go beneath the map).

Just take them out, fix all the issues, then put them back in. Ban the cheaters.

Just take them out all together, they are nice when needing to get out of the storm and goofing off, but that's about it. There are things they could be taking care of that's more important.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, they lack the testers that this game requires, you shouldn't need to remove an item more than once in order to fix it if it was tested correctly after the first patch.

Its probably those under the mal glitches.. all they have to do is block mounting when its up against solid objects
