Mastiff’s arcade-style shooter Heavy Fire: Red Shadow is on the way as an explosive trailer shows us gameplay footage and what new features we can expect to see. Heavy Fire: Red Shadow is the next installment for the Heavy Fire series with the last title being launched in 2011 and developed by Teyon.

Heavy Fire: Red Shadow finds players locked in position as Sgt. Will after surviving a North Korean missile attack on Guam. He now attempts to fend off an enemy attack armed with a mounted machine gun and rocket launcher. Heavy Fire: Red Shadow is a first-person shooter with a focus on feeling like an arcade classic. The player is unable to move their character around the world, however, they are able to aim their weapon in a 360° setting.

Supply drops can be called in that allow players some breathing room as infantry, attack helicopters, and more come in to give you a helping hand. There are eight mission in Campaign mode and more than thirty Field Promotions to unlock. Power-ups can be earned as a way to upgrade and customize the machine gun, rocket launcher, the player’s health, and support skills.

An Endless mode is also available in Heavy Fire: Red Shadow that finds players surviving against constant waves of enemies in a bid to get up to the top spot on the leaderboard. The game has Mixer support on the Xbox One, Razer Chroma support on the PC, and PS VR support for the PS4.
