Many expected this news to come at Square Enix’s own showcase tomorrow, or maybe this afternoon at Microsoft’s press briefing, but Square Enix couldn’t keep quiet any longer, announcing that Yoko Taro and PlatinumGames’ masterpiece NieR: Automata is coming to Xbox One.
The best part of the new is that Xbox One fans won’t need to wait much longer to play this charming and quirky action-JRPG, as it will be released digitally on the Xbox Store on June 26th.
The Xbox One version will be named NieR: Automata Become as Gods Edition, and it will cost $49.99, including the following.
Base NieR: Automata game ($59.99 value)
The 3C3C1D119440927 expansion DLC ($13.99 value)
Grimoire Weiss Pod
Retro Red Pod Skin
Retro Grey Pod Skin
Cardboard Pod Skin
The Machine Lifeform Mask Accessory
Considering the price and the quality of the game, this is certainly a good deal, finally giving Xbox One players the chance to enjoy a great game, and 2B herself, which is a fantastic added bonus.
It’ll be interesting to see if the game will still appear at Microsoft’s press briefing today, considering that Phil Spencer himself promised the presence of JRPGs and fifteen world premieres.
