E3 2018: Bethesda Recap - Rage 2, Doom: Eternal, Fallout 76, Elder Scrolls VI

3.6
During Bethesda’s E3 showcase we got a look at a mission from Rage 2, in which you take down a space center.

After a delightful performance of the game’s theme song by Andrew WK, we got to see what the game looks like in action.

You play as Walker, a wasteland ranger to has lost everything, and now prowls the wasteland seeking revenge. The footage shows ultra-fast combat and an array of powers that let you turn the tide and hurl enemies through the sky. At one point Walker magnetises all of his enemies to the roof and takes them out with ease.

The Elder Scrolls Online DLC announced

Bethesda revealed Doom: Eternal during its Electronic Entertainment Expo event today in Los Angeles.

The reboot of Doom came out in 2016 and became a big hit. It was one of our favorite games that year. The sequel will feature a hell-on-Earth setting with twice as many demons as its predecessor.

It continues the reboot’s story, which had the series’ Space Marine hero expressing himself not with words, but guns, his fists, and, somehow, a chainsaw. He battled a legion of demons and monsters infesting an installation on Mars before taking the fight to their home in actual hell.

Doom marked a return to the franchise’s action roots after 2004’s Doom 3, which dumped most of the running and gunning in favor of dark hallways and jump scares. The last game introduced brutal, melee, “Glory Kills” and more mobility to encourage players that rewarded players’ movement and risks with satisfying, ultraviolent finishers.

Bethesda Brings The Elder Scrolls: Legends To Switch

Arkane Studios is unleashing three new modes in Prey, which players who already own the game can download for free tonight. At Bethesda’s event ahead of the 2018 Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, the developer also gave a first look at its upcoming Mooncrash DLC as well as an asymmetric multiplayer mode called Typhon Hunter, which will roll out this summer.

The new content that will be immediately available in Prey tonight includes Story Mode, New Game+, and Survival Mode. The multiplayer mode Typhon Hunter will come later this summer, and will pit one player against 5 others, who get to play as Mimics and can disguise themselves just like the in-game enemies. Mooncrash doesn’t have a release window yet, but it will be a roguelike take on the main game that will feature new enemies, hazards, and loot in each run.

Skyrim: Very Special Edition

During their E3 presentation, Bethesda made the surprise announcement that another Wolfenstein experience is on the way.

Set several years after The New Colossus, BJ’s daughters have grown up and are taking the fight to the Nazis, just like their dad did. We’re here for it.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is a co-op game

Bethesda confirmed rumors that this game will support multiplayer. It will be entirely online. But Bethesda assured that you can still play the game solo. The game will focus on survival, but it will not be as hardcore as other survival games. Death will not reset or take away your progression. It will also expand on the building features introduced in Fallout 4. Players can create their own buildings, towns, and defenses.

Bethesda said that Fallout 76 will four times bigger than its predecessor, 2015’s Fallout 4. Until now, Fallout has focused on single-player experiences. It also a prequel to other games in the series.

It takes place in West Virginia, focusing on the first to emerge from underground vaults after a nuclear winter. Specifically, Vault 76, which was built to celebrate the country’s 300th birthday. The game starts shortly after Reclamation Day, which marks when the vault’s inhabitants leave for the surface.

Fallout 76 will have 16 times the detail of Fallout 4 and feature new systems for things like lighting. You will explore six different regions of Fallout 76.

During Bethesda’s press conference being held in Los Angeles, the publisher announced a new Elder Scrolls game, The Elder Scrolls Blades.

The game is a “Pure Elder-Scroll game” designed for mobile platforms, but Bethesda’s Todd Howard announced that it’s going to come to all platforms possible, including PC, consoles, and virtual reality headsets.

It features both hand-crafted and procedurally generated dungeons. You can create your own character and customize him, and fight both in melee and with magic and ranged weapons.

You can also play the entire game in portrait mode. The game includes three modes, Abyss, Arena, and Town. Town is a town building mode, and you can even visit your friends’ towns.

The game will come this fall, and it will be free. You can pre-register today on iOS and Android.

Yet, that’s not all, as Bethesda also teased The Elder Scrolls VI, but that’s still a long time away.
