Wild West Online Gets a New Trailer, Leaves Early Access

4.5
Saddle up, partner! Today, Wild West Online finally exits out of its Early Access stage and to celebrate the occasion, the game’s developer has released a new trailer.

Initially launching on Steam as an Early Acess title, Wild West Online is developed by 612 Games and is an open-world MMO where players are free to explore the (virtual) Wild West and choose between being a sheriff of the ‘ol Wild West or an outlaw. Although there is also the option to be a mixture of the two (the freedom to choose your own path is virtually limitless).

In addition to an official launch date, the developer also announced that a slew of new features would be added to Wild West Online. Four of the new significant features include the following:

Faction Territorial War: Players can join one of the two factions duking it out in a war to control the Wildwoods resources. Players will fight the opposing faction as they try and control towns and territories for their squad. According to 612 Games, future expansions will allow these factions to battle for control over mines, oil rigs, and train depots.

Create A Posse Or Ride Solo: Players will have the option to ride with their friends across the land, or go rogue and explore the massive digital world on their noble steed. Become a champion of the wild west or an infamous outlaw, the choice is yours.

Expanded PVE Quests: Embark on various players v. environment quests provided by numerous NPCs scattered throughout the land and obtain experience points so you can learn new skills, unlock new gear, upgrade guns and customize your avatar.

The Homestead Life: Perhaps you want to live in this era, but you have a pacifist side. Maybe you want to live out your (digital) life and buy a ranch, customize it to your liking, raise livestock, grow crows and hunt wildlife. Well now you can, and on top of living the honest life, you can use the resourceful skills you learn to produce goods and alcohol for sale to town merchants and other players.

So many negative reviews on steam, doesnt seem like a good game to me. Probably just a rushed cash grab to get in on the red dead redemption 2 hype.

The trailer doesn't really sell it for me, kind of looks like if Mount & Blade Warband became first person, definitely doesn't look like a 2018 game.
