Xbox One Sales Increased 15% Year-on-Year; Microsoft Promises Biggest E3 Yet

Today Microsoft released an update on the milestones achieved by Xbox in the first quarter of the year, looking ahead to E3 2018.

As we heard in the recent financial briefing, Xbox Live monthly active users have grown 13% year-on-year and they’re currently at 59 million. Xbox One sales are also up year-on-year by 15%.

The Looking for Group feature generated over 600,000 friendships, and 1.2 million clubs have been formed.

There are now over 200 games enhanced for Xbox One X. Players have enjoyed id@Xbox games for over four billion cumulative hours, while over one billion hours have been spent on backward compatible games.

Late last year Microsoft’s video streaming service Mixer exceeded 10 million monthly active users for the first time, and that number has been growing every month since the beginning of this year.

The announcement ends by mentioning that Microsoft is working on “exciting plans” for E3, and that this is their “biggest” E3 yet.

Every year "is the biggest E3 yet" hopefully we can finally get more exclusives this year.

I know Microsoft will do great this E3 year. Their back are against the wall right now, falling short behind Nintendo and Sony. They have no choice but to come back strong.

Kind of disappointed they are waiting this long into correct gen to have a super big e3. Hopefully it's at least good. Remember quality over quantity.
