Epic Games Temporarily Removes Guided Missile From Fortnite

Ever since it was released a couple of weeks ago, the item that everyone wants to get their hands on is the guided missile launcher. The fact that it can be precisely controlled and deals high damage makes it a highly sought after piece of equipment. Unfortunately, it seems like if you were looking to use it anytime soon, you’ll be sorely disappointed, as developer Epic Games has revealed that the weapon has been temporarily removed from the incredibly popular game.

According to the developer’s official Twitter account, which is where the news was initially revealed, it was discovered that the launcher is currently suffering from an animation issue, which was the cause of the removal.

As of the time of this writing, it’s unknown when the launcher will be added back into the game, so until then, players will just have to settle for the normal Rocket Launcher or the grenade launcher for all of their ranged explosive needs.

In other Fortnite news, today v3.5 of the popular game was officially released, which adds a new item Port-a-fort, as well as a slew of other items.

Due to an animation issue with the Guided Missile, we're temporarily disabling it until we have a fix. We'll update you once it's resolved!

Maze Glad to see it out of the game for now, I'm not a fan of it at all. Then again, it's supposed to be nerfed with the update I think, which should make it a less gamebreaking(imo) gun.

Seriously dont understand why people are complaining over this thing... Its actually not even a challenge... just shoot them or box yourself in lol........

Also so they remove it due to an animation bug which probably is when you ride on top... Still dont understand this tho they take this out due to that but leave the double pump glitch in?????

Well if you're epic games, you can just add as much stuff as you want and have as many glitches as possible. No one will know if they can't play the game lmao

The guided missile was okay apart from lag on impact hopefully it makes a return but fixed

Im happy to see it go for a bit, I hate it sweats abuse it way too much. I hope it gets vaulted along with the Port-a-Fort, This game aint as fun anymore i wish they would just keep it as it used to be where wins were hard to get because you actually had to play to win now you just shoot a guided missile and not have to go anywhere to get kills, Even to get around the map you don't have to run you can just rocket ride yourself with the guided missile multiple times while detaching.
