Call of Duty: WWII Getting Major Overhaul to Divisions

3.8
If you didn’t like how Divisions operated in Call of Duty: WWII then you may want to consider coming back. Today, developer Sledgehammer Games unveiled a complete overhaul of the class system in the popular first-person shooter, and it’s clear that they have listened to fan feedback.

In what is probably the most notable change, any extra attachment players get from their divisions (like the incendiary shells for Expeditionary and the suppressor for Airborne) will now be selectable attachments in the loadout screen, which frees up an extra ability slot for each rank of Division.

In addition to that, the Basic Trainings Primed and Bang have both been completely removed from the game. Instead, all primary weapons will now come with a third attachment and you’ll always be able to use a launcher in your secondary slot.

One other highlight of the new changes is that all players now have unlimited sprint, however, your overall speed will be slower.

Sledgehammer Games also released a brand new video going over some other highlights found in the update. You can, like always, check it out, as well as full patch notes from the new update, at the end of the article.

These Division changes will go live on Tuesday with the release of the game’s next DLC, The War Machine.

Call of Duty: WWII was originally released this past November and is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

After watching a few videos by Spratt and other snipers, apparently this overhaul along with the new dlc is making this game practically new. With the divisions changed so much it's supposed to make the gameplay completely different. Idk if this is a good idea because it may piss off some of the people that still play this game

Saw some hefty sniper buffs. Crazy to see they are changing this game in a huge way, do they think it's gonna bring success? Because that's long gone.

Personally I think this is too big a change they should have done this earlier.

I feel mixed on it, while I am glad you can now put say a suppressor on an assault rifle or even a sniper, I am against unlimited sprint and now them removing Prime to allow every class to have 3 attachments with Infantry still getting 4. I swear I remember reading or watching a video where they said they didn't want to have unlimited sprint in the game and now they're back at it. This allows shotgun users to slap on Gunslinger and never have to stop moving while shooting, also paves way for Shovel/Tac Knife users to just flood out with unlimited sprint. Another thing is what happens to the people who bought Primed (for whatever reason) with their Prestige Token - do they get another token or are SOL since Primed is being removed entirely and being made into a universal change for all classes?
