Far Cry 5 Sales Cross 340,000 on Steam Alone in Three Days

4.4
If it’s a Ubisoft game, it’s going to sell a lot. And if it’s a flagship Ubisoft property, then all bets on commercial records are off. Far Cry 5 is the latest game in Ubisoft’s long running globe trotting action adventure franchise, and it looks like it continues the publisher’s penchant for commercial success.

According to Steam Spy, just the Steam version of Far Cry 5 has sold 340,000 copies in just three days—the incredible thing, of course, being that these sales are just for the Steam version (so don’t count, for example, sales via Uplay, and definitely not sales on Xbox or PlayStation).

So it looks like Far Cry 5 is set to do fantastically well, especially if this is indicative of how it is performing on other channels (like retail and consoles) as well—I can’t wait to see its performance on the UK and NPD charts, at the very least. Far Cry 5 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

No surprise there, the game is killer. I knew this would kick off! Might have to get this on Xbox rather than Steam though.

Far cry has always been a great title to play due to the truly emersive gameplay and side stories to do along the main story, graphics are beautiful also so no surprise its selling quickly especially on PC.

Thinking about purchasing this game today since I've been wanting a new game to enjoy and go for achievements, been playing too much fortnite.

On just steam, that's pretty crazy, but it's expected for a far cry game to get good numbers I think. Maybe I'll check it out when the price drops

Good game. But need friends to play with on Steam. Add me: MushroomElm

The game is great. Seems specifically hard at times, but who knows. Not surprised they sold so much, even on Steam. Don't see any other numbers for total, though. Would like to know just how Ubisoft did this time around.

I am thoroughly enjoying the game, my only gripe is that it gets overwhelming with the constant missions popping up and cant just explore Montana.

It's a good, fun game. Tad tedious and frustrating sometimes though. Lived up to expectation I'd say but as always with Ubisoft games, there could be improvements.
