Call of Duty: WWII The War Machine Map Pack Officially Announced

3.9
If you still play Call of Duty: WWII and you’re craving some new content to play then you may want to listen up. Today, developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision officially announced The War Machine, the second DLC for the popular first-person shooter.

Like The Resistance DLC, which was released in January of 2018, The War Machine adds three new multiplayer maps, a new War mode map, and a new Nazi Zombies map. First off we have Egypt, which, as the name suggests takes place in the ruins of Giza, against the backdrop of the pyramids. The second map to be featured is Dunkirk, which, of course, is set on the French beaches of the same name. Finally, we have V2, which takes place in a rocket testing facility in Germany.

The War mode map featured is set to be titled Operation: Husky, which takes place during the Allied invasion of Sicily. Just like all other War mode maps, the offensive team will be tasked with three different missions. For Husky, players will have to gather intel from the enemy, transmit it to your allies, and then shoot down enemy aircraft.

Last but certainly not least is the new Nazi Zombies map The Shadowed Throne. Not much is known about this map, however, it was revealed that it takes place “in the heart of Nazi Germany,” and that, of course, the characters Marie Fischer, Drostan Hynd, Olivia Durant, Jefferson Potts, and Doctor Peter Straub, played by Kathyrn Winnick, David Tennant, Elodie Yung, Ving Rhames, and Edo Kier respectively.

To celebrate the announcement, Activision also released images from each of the new maps. You can check them out in a gallery below.

Does look like a pretty decent map, but haven't really been into WW2 though.
