Fortnite Battle Royale is Coming to Mobile Devices

4.3
Epic Games has a hit on their hands with Fortnite and they’re doubling down to make sure that they can get it into the hands of as many people as possible. Literally.

Epic revealed today that Fortnite Battle Royale will soon be coming to mobile devices. Yes, the same Battle Royale experience that you’ve had on consoles and PC will soon be coming to your phone and tablet. Details are still sparse at the moment but Epic says that it will still be the same 100-person fight to the death you’ve come to expect with the same island, same gameplay, and weekly updates.

Starting this Monday, iOS users will be able to sign up for the Invite Event of Fornite Battle Royale. Android users, on the other hand, will be left out in the cold and will have to wait a few months before seeing the game head their way.

Perhaps the craziest part of this entire announcement though is that Epic Games says that Fortnite Battle Royale players will be able to team up with one another across PC, Mac, iOS, and yes, even PS4. Sony has given Epic the green light to allow players on their console to team up with a friend who may only have the game on a mobile device. Pretty crazy.

If you’re looking to enter the iOS Invite Event, then make sure you sign up on the official Fortnite website this Monday, March 12 to be entered. You will need an iOS 11 on at least an iPhone 6S/SE, iPad Mini 4, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017 devices in order to play on your device.

For further details, stay tuned until Monday as Epic promises to share more information at that time.

This just seems like just to much effort for something not many people will bother with, don't get me wrong I like Fortnite but mobile, the screen is just to small!

I don't think it will be very successful on mobile.

What is it with game devs now bringing shit to mobile, I can't imagine it is fun or even remotely good to play.

Fortnite on a phone sounds really cool but can our phones even run the game? they need to dim the graphics and everything just for a solid framerate / no lag for the game.

I didn't think this would happen to be honest but I'm perfectly fine playing on console.

Modding_Helper_200 I hope you can sync accounts from consoles.

Unlikely.

Xbox and PC dont allow you to use the same account,
Meaning you have to create separate accounts with different emails to even play the game on another platform.

They've already confirmed cross progression with pc, ps4, and mobile.

I struggle playing on Xbox, nevermind mobile.

Geb It will most likely be a nightmare to play with touch controls but I will download it once it comes out

Yeah that's how I feel too. Probably not gonna be good but I'm for sure gonna try it. It'll also be good when I have a few extra minutes with my phone or I'm at work with nothing to do.
