The Division 2 Officially Announced

4.2
In an announcement, Ubisoft confirmed today that its open-world action RPG title, The Division, will be receiving a sequel. The confirmation arrives on the original game's second anniversary, and just as the original, The Division 2 is being developed by Massive Entertainment, with Ubisoft Reflections, Red Storm Entertainment, Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Shanghai, and Ubisoft Bucharest, helping with the efforts.

The release date, platforms, or any gameplay details regarding the game were not announced today. But, the publisher did reveal that an updated version of the Snowdrop engine will be powering the sequel, and that the title will be fully unveiled at E3 this year.

Possibly alluding to the issues that The Division had at launch - such as the bullet-sponge enemies - and the subsequent updates that turned the game around in the eyes of fans, the developer added that "we're also taking everything we learned over the past two years and applying it towards the sequel to make sure we get it right."

Meanwhile, The Division isn't being left behind, as two more major updates are planned to be introduced in the future. These will bring Xbox One X enhancements, new global events, and more. Also, the developer will be adding Shields as special achievements to the original that will enable players to unlock rewards in the sequel once it launches.

Tom
Mickers Literally never even played the first one, however heard good things.

For sure a well mapped out game, well worth the trial or just a run on someone else's account to give it a try. I doubt much is going to transfer over besides the plot of the game though.

I know a fair few people who played it not to mention the fact they're making a new one. It's genuinely a decent game.

Craig Wasn't much of a fan of the first Division, but probably I didn't give it chance. I'll follow this closely as i need a new game to play.

As someone who played a ton of the division i can say that it was a good time with friends and the pvp was something fresh and new and was enjoyable.
